One Time Passcode (OTP) Scams
Scammers use stolen personal information to pretend they are from your bank or another trusted company. They trigger a real one-time passcode (OTP) to be sent to your phone or email and ask you to share it. The code is not from a legitimate source—it’s part of their attempt to access your account. If you share the code, they can log in or change your password. Real banks will never call you to ask for an OTP.
