1. The ISS Website has answers to many common questions! Please review the information on the website as we work hard to make sure you have access to everything you need to maintain your F-1 or J-1 student status. Please follow the links to specific pages where you can find information about:
   • Curricular Practical Training (CPT)
   • Optional Practical Training (OPT)
   • STEM Extension OPT
   • Travel 
      
2. If you have specific questions after reviewing the website, you may:

• Come to ISS Drop-In Hours, available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. You may come in-person or call into virtual advising and you will speak with an available ISS advisor. Students will sign in to drop-in advising using QLess.
• Submit an Information Request to your ISS Advisor. Send an information request to your assigned ISS advisor only. This prevents duplicate efforts and keeps communication streamlined. Allow a few business days for us to respond. When sending an information request, include the following:
  • Your preferred name;
  • WiscID number;
  • Complete details about your question/concern.
• Make a virtual appointment with your ISS Advisor. Schedule your appointments ahead of time - appointments will close one business day ahead of the time slot. Appointments must be scheduled in QLess.
